Reverend Mary Michael Leahy was ordained as a Roman Catholic Woman Priest on November 20, 2021, in Morristown, New Jersey.  She holds a Master of Divinity degree from the School of Theology and Ministry at Boston College, Chestnut Hill, MA. She is also certified as a Franciscan spiritual director through St. Anthony’s Shrine in Boston, MA. 

Her background includes many roles in parish ministry including parish pastoral council, religious education, spiritual education, and evangelization; extensive experience in pastoral and spiritual support services to the homeless, including at the MANNA community in downtown Boston and two years as Convener/Facilitator for the Mayor of Boston’s initiative to end homelessness. Her career has also included many executive positions in home healthcare delivery and housing for the displaced and poor. Mary is a lifelong practitioner and teacher of Centering Prayer. She began her pastoral ministry as a member of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in the 1980’s Seattle, WA.
